About Me

As evidenced by my having a blog: I decided to make a blog.

I decided to do so because, after hours of stumbling and learning a little html, I wanted  to make my own website. This isn't the first time I've used the web to further my conceptual reach. I have uploaded a number of t-shirt ideas to http://www.typetees.com which is a segment of Threadless. None of my shirt ideas ever took on the site so after a long time of uploading my ideas, I gave up on that.

Some time passed and then through stumbleupon, I stumbled to a page that listed 101 things to do when bored and one of the top ones was a website: http://www.stripgenerator.com where you could create your own comic strips using their online flash program. I began to get popularity on the site, but I realized, I was just a small part of someone else's site.

I wanted more so I went to w3schools.org and taught myself html, css and javascript. I was determined to have my own website. Alas I'm cheap and didn't want to pay for a domain name so that idea was put on the back-burner.

More time and more stumbling and I discovered: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/

It was a blog that incorporated MS Paint/whatever Mac's equivalent is. I became obsessed and read about half a year's worth of blogs on the site and each blog was several pages long - I spent hours, probably even days total reading.

That's when I realized I could make a blog, using blogspot too and maybe gain the same following as that blog (though it doesn't seem likely). I figure, it's worth a shot.

I have a horrible memory, so naturally, even if I want to make a blog based on events that happened, they're going to be skewed somehow by my memory so I decided that my blogs are going to be both real stories that happened to me as well as fictional stories and of course a combination of the two. I decided I also enjoy reading/making funny list-like observations and flow-charts so my blog will have those too.

Anyway, enjoy my blog!

Here's a picture of me and my little brother from a couple months ago - he is tired from eating so much and so appears asleep (my hair has since been cut shorter and according to all non-impartial people (ie my mom) it looks very nice).
